Small Engines (Lawn Mowers, etc.): Replacing riding mower ignition switch, key switches, patent numbers
Switch
I have a Honda HA4118H38A lawn tractor which won't start. The ignition switch has failed and I'm looking to find a replacement switch. The old switch was soldered to a circuit board, I've removed it and have been searching the web for a switch that will fit in it's place. No luck so far (the switch and circuit board together cost close to $200). The switch has 6 terminals and 3 positions and no ID except Indak with patent numbers. Any ideas of where I can find a replacement switch will be greatly appreciated.

Answer
That will be very difficult to find.  I'm betting Honda has an exclusive deal with the manufacturer.

Can you ohm the switch to see which pins connect as the various positions, start, run, off?

If so, you may be able to adapt this switch:

Did you check Indak's website?
