Small Engines (Lawn Mowers, etc.): BNS to Kohler Engine Swap, yth2448, charging system

Question
I have a YTH2448 that had a BNS 24HP ELS 725 (blown bottom end) I am trying to drop a Kohler cv730s 25 hp into. I have acquired the mate n lok fittings and the pins, etc... to make a pigtail so I can do this wire-up without splicing wires and making a mess (So I can pull the engine and swap back if needed... I like "easy"#. I need clear directions as to what color goes to what color #I am that close to having this thing together#.
Moderate mechanic, electrical stuff baffles me. Please help. BTW, the Kohler came out of a Craftsman GT 5000 that's about 10 years old. It has a solenoid on the starter and there's a solenoid on the wall too. Do I have too many solenoids or does the one on the starter serve a separate function than the one on the wall #original to the tractor#?

Answer
Just use the solenoid on the starter.  No need to use the other (frame) solenoid ...just leave it in place for now.

I can not tell you which color to hook where as manufacturers rarely publish schematics for lawn equipment.

I can check to see if there is a schematic if you provide the model number of the machine you are swapping the engines.

In the meantime use the links below, for the engines, to let me know what color of wires you have and the manuals should help which charging system each engine has.

Read the manuals...they will help.
Send me the mower model number so I can see if a schematic is available.
