one day mower was running fine.the next day wont start at all.replaced ignition module now back fires through carb,hmm timing issue.found wiring melted from voltage regulater to starter selenoid replaced wire still will not start replaced voltage regulater and checked all connections.still having ignition problens at a loss on what else to look for

Was there any markings on the coil such as "This side up" or "Flywheel"?

What engine do you have?  Briggs, Kohler, Kawasaki?  What is the engine model, type and code nubmer?
