Small Engines (Lawn Mowers, etc.): snowblower wont drive, snow blower, auger

I have a Craftsman 9hp snowblower that starts up great, the auger works fine, but when I attempt to drive, it won't go. I checked the belts and they appear fine.  Any other ideas of what could be the culprit?

Can you let me know what model the craftsman 9 hp  snowblower it is, these are usually on the machine somewhere ?  it could be a  single stage blower or a 2 stage blower

but off the top of my head if the belts and pulleys/ chains  are fine, engine runs , revs and auger turns fine  but no drive  either something is slipping/ broken or plain shawn off  in the drive line.

if you let me know model of snow blower and  the engine make and model, and  i will try to help you with your problem, and locate a parts and service manual for you  to download.
