Small Engines (Lawn Mowers, etc.): Tecumseh Hard to start, hurricane gustav, little sea

Question
I have a Tecumseh HH100 - 10HP on a generator that hasn't been run since November 2007 (Hurricane Gustav). I drained and flushed the old oil out. Refilled with new oil. I pulled the fuel tank and cleaned it thoroughly. I pulled the carburetor and cleaned it thoroughly. Bowl on carb is filling perfectly and I blew through the jet from bowl assembly #with mouth) to be sure it was clear. I replaced the spark plug with a new one and checked spark before reinstalling it by pulling starter and holding it to engine. Good spark. I put a little "Sea Foam" in the cylinder through the spark plug socket to lubricate the rings and pulled about 20 times. I reinstalled the new spark plug. I opened the drain on the carb bowl to be sure I had gas flow. Closed drain, put carb to full choke and pulled. I got one pop/fire on the first pull, and that was it. I've yanked on this thing at least 60 times with no response at all. Please help!!! What have I missed. PS. Great compression.

Answer
Try seeing if the engine will start by priming with fuel.  I use a small squired bottle with gas and squirt a little directly into the carburetor to see if the engine will try to start.

If it tries to start when priming then you know you have a carb problem.
