Small Engines (Lawn Mowers, etc.): B&S engine onpush lawn mower surging & quits, spark plug wire, intake tube

Question
Ok here goes Eric! Trying to figure out why my B&S 12H802 2639 B1 engine hunts or surges and will run for about a minute then just quit, it will start up again and do the same thing just surge and quit in about a min. I've gone through the carb it starts so I'm feeding fuel, gas tank cap has been off or loose when running, I've tried stopping the gas flow when it quits so I can check the carb bowl for fuel and it's full, I've checked for spark when it quits and I have spark,(checked spark from spark plug wire only ooops) the spark plug is in good working order and gap is .030, all fresh gas and I get a good feed from the float needle valve with the bowl off, I haven't found any induction of flooding as far as the spark plug being wet when it dies or coming out the overflow port on the card, compression test came out as 60 dry and 75 wet. I can hold the throttle spring at a point where it will quit surging but still quits, so any ideas would be much appreciated.   THANKS

Answer
Still have a dirty carb or an intake tube leak.  Make sure the carb to intake o-ring is in place and if you have a primer bulb just replace the air filter to carb gasket...they tear almost everytime you try to remove them.

Did you completely dis-assemble the carb and blow compressed from and air compressor through all the carb orfices?  I have had to clean come carbs a couple of times to get them to run.

Clean the carb again, check/change gaskets and let me know what happens.
