Small Engines (Lawn Mowers, etc.): Craftsman Eager1 5.5hp, craftsman eager 1, float bowl

I have a Craftsman Eager 1 with a 6.5hp when I go to start it it runs a second then stops so I  have put clean gas clean oil new spark plug Clean the carb new seat in the carb and still the same thing it is like the gas goes to the carb and not to the motor I also cleand the filter and gas line can you make any sense of this model number is 917377130 I also have another Craftsman Eager 1 that is doing the same thing any help would be appreciated

According to the parts diagram you have a Briggs engine on your mower.  The problem you described is the classic dirty carburetor.

Did you blow compressed air from an air compressor through all the carb orifices?  Were the small holes on the float bowl nut clean?  Is the air filter to carb mounting gasket new and is the o-ring on the intake tube in place?
