Small Engines (Lawn Mowers, etc.): flushing gas out of crankcase, briggs and stratton, crankcase

Briggs and stratton engine has electrific stop valve in carb. and it stuck open and flooded crankcase. How many times should I drain and change oil and filter before using.

I like to change the oil a couple of times, using the same filter.  On the final refill, the third oil fill, I replace the filter.

Make sure you check the carb inlet needle, seat and float or install in inline fuel shut-off valve to make sure gas does not leak into the crankcase again.
