Small Engines (Lawn Mowers, etc.): snow didnt start again, cycle engine oil, compression issue

Question
QUESTION: Hi, I bought a old snowbower. Yesterday, in the beginning,it can start very easy and then I used it for 30 min. After that, there is no gas before fining my job and I filled it, but it can't start again. I mixed 2-cycle engine oil with gasoline just 1 month ago (14 ou oil/1 gallon gasoline). What's the problem. Thanks

ANSWER: Did you try replacing the spark plug?  Does the engine produce spark?  Do you have an engine compression tester gauge to check the engines compression?

Try a new spark plug first.

QUESTION: I have tried the spark plug and there are strong spark, I have also tried another spark plug which is for lawn mower, it still didn't start even if I dropped several gasoline into the spark plug hole.

I haven't engine compression tester gauge and I have to buy one?, how can I know the engine compression is lower and there are other problems? Thanks.

BTW, the snow blower is Topflite 20.

ANSWER: It wouldn't hurt to check the compression but if it refuses to start when priming with gas in the spark plug hole it tells me there may be a compression issue.

Was the spark plug the same heat range?

Answer
Are there ny other numbers located on a sticker about the size of a business card?  You may have an MTD made blower with a Tecumseh 2 cycle engine.

See if there are any numbers on the blower frame/housing and check the engine as well as there is usually an engine model number.
