hey i just wanna know from the pro's... I got a Jiffy ice auger it got a Tecumseh 3hp its about 4 years old it runs great wide open but dont stay running without running the throttle... well they ? i got is how to set high an low idle jet???  when i got the auger i just took it out of box an been runnin it havent done anything to it but mess a little with the high an low jets about 2 years ago its ran better but want to get it runnin better ...

Some of those ice auger have very sensitive sometimes...aka, they can be a real pain to get them to idle and perform well at high speed.

Are there any limit caps on the carb that keep you from adjusting the needles too much?

Did you try adjusting the idle speed screw...turning it in?
