Small Engines (Lawn Mowers, etc.): Briggs Stratton swap, briggs stratton, log splitter

QUESTION: Hi Ben, I have a log splitter with a BS 650, 124T0-0121 motor. I want to replace it with a BS 675 126L02-1015 (I hope these are the numbers you can use)
I read in another forum (while I was trying to determine whether the bolt pattern was the same or not) that one would have to change the flywheel etc. and governor
Since the BS 675 is new and comes from Amazon.com it isn't necessarily set up to run a log splitter.
Can you give me any advice on what I might have to do to swap these motors?

The crankshaft for this engine 123K02 is
Crankshaft: 691451
PTO (Extension): Tapped 3/8-24, 2 WK & Keyway, 7/8” dia.
Dimension: 3-5/32(b)
so it is the same dimensions.
All you would have to do is bolt his on the equipment what is the make of the log splitter and if you have a picture of it you can send it to me at
