Small Engines (Lawn Mowers, etc.): non starting ltx1842 troy built mower, briggs stratton, carburetor problems

I have a ltx1842 Troy Built/Briggs&Stratton mower that was running great two weeks ago now she is turning over but not firing up.I have fuel going to the carb,spark out of the plug so i can only come up with ether a bad carb or solenoid.Any way of test these out

Take some Carburetor spray and spray some in the intake of the carburetor,if it starts then you have carburetor problems. As far as the solenoid when you turn the key listen to hear for a click on the carburetor solenoid do not try to start  just turn the key. You may want to get someone to help while you listen.If you have fuel going to the carb then you probably can rule out the solenoid.
