Small Engines (Lawn Mowers, etc.): Snapper zero turn blows fuse when key turned on, engine model type, switch battery

Question
I have a Snapper model yz145332bve zero turn mower that keeps blowing 20A fuse next to the solenoid as soon as I turn the key on. This started happening after I changed the ignition switch, battery and solenoid (which I found out too late that I wired backwards,it's now wired correctly according to the wiring diagram I printed off Snapper website. I can't see any frayed wires causing short. Could the wiring it wrong cause something else to be causing the blown fuse. I can get the engine to turn over if I jump across the solenoid but there is no spark at the spark plug. Could this be a safety switch gone bad?

Answer
Which engine is on the mower?  I need the engine model, type and code number.  It is possible a diode is shorted causing the fuse to blow.

Have you tried dis-connecting the PTO clutch to see if the fuse still blows with the PTO dis-connected?
