Small Engines (Lawn Mowers, etc.): Impeller Issue, sears store, ring bolts

Question
Have a craftsman 11 hp, 30" snowblower Model C950-52251-0.

Recently noticed machine not throwing snow like before.  Hand turned impeller and notice it scraping at a certain point while turning.  What could be the issue, is there a bearing in the impeller?  Nothing visibly wrong or interfering with turning.  Any ideas??

Answer
Do you live in Canada?  Your blower model number is a Canadian MTD model number.

There should be bearings at the end of each auger, on the bucket housing, as well as bushing/bearing inside the gear box.  There is also a bearing at the base/back of the impeller.  The bearing retaining ring bolts to the bucket housing.

Did something get bent causing the impeller to hit that spot?  Is the shaft bent?

Did you check with your local Sears store for a parts diagram or manual?
