Small Engines (Lawn Mowers, etc.): toro ccr2000 leaks gas, needle valve, shut off valve

Question
I have a 1995 occurs (#38180) that leaks gas through the carb when the machine of off.  The carb is brand new (same problem was happening with the old carb)...it there something that would cause the gas to continue to be drawn into the carb after the machine is turned off? It's really frustrating...in the interim I installed a fuel shut-off value, so I can at least use the machine without having to drain the gas after each use. Any help would be much appreciated.

Hello John:

>>Are you Sure you Did Not Read some of my Posts on this Problem. LOL.
>>You have Done the Correct thing to Solve this Problem for Good.
>>I have Started Installing Shut Off Valves on Most of the Newer Equipment that Use the Bowl Type Carburetors.
>>Not Only are the Newer Carburetors having this Problem, but the Alcohol in the Gas does Not Help the Situation at All.
>>Even if you Repair the Needle Valve in the Carburetor, usually within 2 Months you have the Same Problem All Over again.
>>I have been Telling Everyone that has Questioned me about this Type of Problem to Install a Shut Off Valve and Use it Each Time they Shut Off the Engine.
>>What is Happening is the Alcohol is Damaging the Needle Valve Seat and this Starts the Leaking of Gas when the Engine is Not Running.
>>The Needle Valve will Require Replacing when it is Leaking So Bad that the Engine will Flood when Running.
>>Please Remember that the Newer Products Produced today are Not Made with Quality in Mind but with Quality in Mind.
>>If you Hit a Snag or this Does Not Correct the Problem,  I Hope to be Here if You Require More Assistance. Hope this Helps. Let me Know What Happens, Please. May the All Mighty Bless You and Yours. Be Safe and Happy. Thanks.

Good Luck
