Small Engines (Lawn Mowers, etc.): tiller, rear tine tiller, hp 19

QUESTION: I have a 7hp rear tine tiller. I was having shifting problems I decided to repair my self. I must have put something in the wrong place. I am trying to find a repair manual  better than owner's manual. Craftsman 7 hp. 19" tine. Model 917.293490

QUESTION: I have the Owner's manual with parts list. I was hoping to find a better manual with better diagrams an instructions. The tiller will travel forward and reverse, till in forward, but will not till counter rotating
