Small Engines (Lawn Mowers, etc.): kawasaki 20hp no start, john deere 345 lawn tractor, john deere 345

Question
I have a John Deere 345 lawn tractor with a 20 hp Kawasaki
water cooled engine . The family I.D. is SKA585U1G2RA.
Displacement is 585 cc. Manufacture date is 07/99. The
engine will turn over but will not start. The coils are not
firing.I have full time hot going into the coil that will
not cut off with switch. Also, when the hot is hooked to the
coil it comes out hot on the other coil terminals at both
coils. The fuel solenoid is working. Seat, pto, and brake
safety seems to be working. Any ideas?

There can be a number reasons for a no start the first one being fuel, then air then spark.Since you have no fuel problem and no air problems the culprit is spark.Like you said you checked all your safety switches and they were good? have you checked the the coil as being bad?
Thats whats left to blame so I would go get a coil and install it.Check any wires that may be broke or pinched any thing causing a ground to the coil will preventing that problem.
