Small Engines (Lawn Mowers, etc.): 8hp briggs snowblower wont stay running, condensor, snowblower

Question
Hi. I have a question 4 u please. My 8hp briggs blower was working last year. Now it had no spark so I replaced the condensor (0.020 gap) and now I have spark, but it doesn't want to stay running. Gets no fuel then two much fuel. Hard to regulate. I did the 1.5 turns on both screws but still nothing. When it was running it was a flame blower out the exhaust. What is up and why won't it stay running. Thanks.

Answer
It sounds as if it could be out of time. When you put the condenser on did you torque the fastener holding the flywheel on? If not the key may have sheared, causing the flames. You also could have a carburetor problem, something holding the needle open allowing fuel to flood the engine. I would check these two things and I'm sure you should find the problem.
