Small Engines (Lawn Mowers, etc.): honda propane motor, fuel air mixture, propane engine

Question
QUESTION: I have a similar problem to what jerry has with his gx390.Except the one I have is a gxv390. Its on a floor burnisher thats preety old. its a night hawk 13.0 with numbers GEAD 6007494 stamped in it. Ive replaced the regulator a couple of years ago when we had a starting problem and it worked good until now. the regulator is nolffs-n-51 with100psi pressure. my supplier said it has been discontinued but found one they say will work but has a 250 psi working pressure. will this work? it has the same conditions as your other ? that jerry asked, but will start with starting fluid or by choking and playing with the throttle linkage. it has the pop back in carb so im thinking valves or possibly head. sugjestions welcomed. thank you, dave.

ANSWER: Hello Dave:

>>According to my Honda Parts Supplier, the Regulator Replacement you Described will Operate as a Replacement.
>>As for the Pop Back in the Carburetor, that can be caused by the Bad Regulator.
>>Improper Fuel/Air Mixture can Cause Premature Ign in the Combustion Chamber. This Usually Happens when the Intake Valve is Partially Open.
>>I Suggest you Replace the Regulator and if the Pop Back Problem Continues, then Check the Valves.
>>If you Hit a Snag or this Does Not Correct the Problem,  I Hope to be Here if You Require More Assistance. Hope this Helps. Let me Know What Happens, Please. May the All Mighty Bless You and Yours. Be Safe and Happy. Thanks.
