QUESTION: I am working on a Honda EX1000 with no spark, I have put in a new coil/magneto and spark plug. Tried disconnecting the kill switch ground wire and also the oil switch wire and still nothing. Getting fuel but no spark no matter what I try so far. Would you happen to have any shop/service information as all the books must be ordered and have been unsuccessful finding a PDF of the shop manual. Thank you so much for your time - Dale in Twin Falls, Idaho.

ANSWER: Do you have the sigle ignition module or are there two coils, a primary and secondary coil?  Did you look for a manual on Ebay?

QUESTION: I think it is single - just one cylinder. Yeah they are running 30-50 bucks and may be what I will have to do if I don't get any good insight/help.

Yes, it is a single cylinder but the parts list shows two coil options.  The first is a single module package and the second is a two module package, and exciter and a primary coil.

You will need to remove the engine shroud, the front sheet metal/plastic to access the coil.
