Small Engines (Lawn Mowers, etc.): Tecumseh Pull Cord, lawn mower

I replaced the the starter pull cord on my lawn mower, which has a Tecumseh 5.0 engine and I think the coil is broke. I watched a video on how to replace it but can't seem to figure out where it is? Help Please.

Are you referring to the ignition coil?  If so, it is under the top engine metal housing (shroud).  Make sure the shut-off cable and the shut-off switch is not the problem.

Do you not have spark?
