Small Engines (Lawn Mowers, etc.): MAC 3200 chain saw Model # 600032-07, fuel tubes, interal

Question
I replaced the primer bulb and fuel lines like the other gentleman did and it will only run for a short time and dies. It ran great before, just the fuel line at the primer bulb was so dry it would not attach to the bulb. I need a diagram for the fuel tube routing maybe, and do the fuel tubes going into the tank need to go all the way to the bottom? I probably have the fuel lines not hooked up correctly, as it was a month or so until I had time to put it back together after dissasembly. Thanks for the help.

Answer
One fuel line needs to reach the bottom of the tank; this line has the fuel filter on it.  The  other line needs to reach about half-way in the tank.

Usually, if the lines are that dry the interal carburetor diaphrams are also dry and brittle since they are made of similar material.  Dry/brittle carb diaphrams do not perform too well and will cause poor performace.

Did you visit Walbro or Zama's website for the carburetor repair manuals?
