Small Engines (Lawn Mowers, etc.): Homelite UT-20601c, fuel mixture ratio, string replacement

Question
I saw where you answered in detail some carburation questions elsewhere in this forum about this trimmer model.

I am trying to find a PDF user guide for this model (also known as Homelite Bandit SX-135)

Any clue where I can find this download?

I bought a used unit and have no clue how to service it i.e. string replacement, mixture ratios, etc. as no documentation came with the unit.

Thanks in advance for your help!

Answer
Hello Nick:

>>For an Owners Manual you wil have to Contact Homelite.
>>You can use this Site Addy; https://register.homelite.com/contact_us/new  to Request an Owners Manual, but
>>You can View a Breakdown/IPL at this Site Addy,
http://www.emerichsales.com/ and Select Homelite in the Drop Down Under "Parts Look Up" at the Left of the Page. Now Fill Out the "OEM Part Diagrams Look Up by Model Fit" Section or
>>You can View a Breakdown of this Unit at this Site Addy; http://www.homelite.com/service_support and Select Order Parts. Now Select "Click to Launch Homelite Catalog". Now Enter the Model Numbers (UT-20601C) and Click Search. Now Double Click on the Model in the Results Area. Now you can View the Breakdowns for this Unit.
>>I Suggest a Fuel Mixture Ratio of 32:1 if you are Doing Heavy Duty or Commercial Operations and 40:1 for Medium  and Light Duty Operations, but some OEM's Suggest a and a 50:1 Ratio for All Operations.
>>I have Determined that a 32:1 Ratio is Ideal for Commercial and Heavy Duty Operations and the Lighter Ratio's (40:1 and 50:1) are OK for Most Homeowners and Light to Medium Duty Operations.
>>I have Less Internal Engine Wear using the 32:1 Ratio.
>>If you Hit a Snag or this Does Not Correct the Problem,  I Hope to be Here if You Require More Assistance. Hope this Helps. Let me Know What Happens, Please. May the All Mighty Bless You and Yours. Be Safe and Happy. Thanks.

Good Luck
