Small Engines (Lawn Mowers, etc.): Homelite String Trimmer, phillips screw driver, homelite string trimmer

Question
I have a Homelite Phantom SS UT20682 String Trimmer and the string head is worn out. Can you provide removal instructions? I plan to install a Shakespeare compatible assembly.

Answer
Hello Mitch:

>>The Following is an Instruction File I made for this Problem. Any Input is Appreciated.
>>Looking at where the Trimmer Head and Shaft are Connected, Turn the Trimmer Head until you See the Slot.
>>If you Watch the Slot while you Turn the Trimmer Head you will See it Align with a Hole in the Trimmer Shaft.
>>Using a Small Phillips Screw Driver, Slide it into the Slot and Hole to Hold the Trimmer Head Stationary.
>>Now Turn the Trimmer Head in the Same Direction as the Head Turns During Operation to Remove the Head Unit.
>>Some Models have a Square Located Just Behind the Trimmer Head and a Wrench is Used to Hold the Trimmer Head Stationary and the Head is Always Removed by Turning the Same Direction as the Head Turns During Operation.
>>You can View a Breakdown of this Unit at this Site Addy; http://www.homelite.com/service_support and Select Order Parts. Now Select "Click to Launch Homelite Catalog". Now Enter the Model Numbers (UT-20682) and Click Search. Now Double Click on the Model in the Results Area. Now you can View the Breakdowns for this Unit.
>>If you Hit a Snag or this Does Not Correct the Problem, I Hope to be Here if You Require More
Assistance. Hope this Helps. Let me Know What Happens, Please.
>>I Hope You and Yours had a Happy Holiday Weekend and May the All Mighty Bless You and Yours. Be Safe and Happy. Thanks.

Good Luck
