Small Engines (Lawn Mowers, etc.): primer bulb, metering valve, check valve

Question
Hello! I have a Weedeater brand weedeater that wont start. When I pump the primer bulb it sucks it flat and the only way to get it to come back out is to crack loose a screw holding it on and let some air in. Ive checked the filter, fuel lines and put a carb kit in but same thing. Is it a bad primer bulb? Thanks for your time.

Answer
Hello Gary:

>>From your Description it Sounds like this Primer Bulb is a Primer Bulb Assembly with a Check Valve or the Primer Body and Bulb are Separate and the Primer Body has the Check Valve and has to be Replaced.
>>If you had Not Rebuilt the Carburetor, then I would have Suspected a Stuck Carburetor Fuel Metering Valve.
>>Send me the Model Numbers Off the Unit, Please. With these I can Locate the Proper Manual and Better Assist you.
>>If you Hit a Snag or this Does Not Correct the Problem, I Hope to be Here if You Require More
Assistance. Hope this Helps. Let me Know What Happens, Please.
>>Have a Happy Holiday Weekend and May the All Mighty Bless You and Yours. Be Safe and Happy. Thanks.
