Small Engines (Lawn Mowers, etc.): snapper 5hp mower, throttle assembly, fuel assembly

Question
My mower vibrated the air box off the machine. I reattached it firmly and put in a new gasket where the fuel flow was stopped. Before this happened the mower started first pull. Now the throttle and fuel assembly does not seem to line up correctly. Its getting fuel but I don,t know if the carburetor is open or closed. How do you line up the throttle assembly? The wire going to the gas tank is not moving now when I adjust the throttle. It may have gotten bent when the air box/fuel intake box fell off? Brent Derkson

remove the air cleaner and the box so you can see the carburetor opening. take your throttle and push it to the choke position.then you should see the choke plate closed if not loosen the cable hold down bracket and adjust the cable so it is choked. Then tighten the hold down and then bring the throttle back to the off position. You should see the choke open up.
