Small Engines (Lawn Mowers, etc.): carb linkage connection, craftsman lawn mower, question pool

Question
I took my carb apart to clean it and forgot how to connect the two linkage rods. I have tryed several ways and either get full throttle or idle. Can you send a picture of the connection or direct me to a site? It is a Craftsman lawn mower with engine model number #143-955500. I have a parts breakdown, but that does not show the connection. Thanks for any help you can be. Pat

Answer
Hello Pat:

>>Sorry for the Delay. This Question was Located in the Question Pool and I can Only Answer Questions from the Question Pool when I am Not Answering Questions here or at the Other Site I Answer Questions at.
>>The Linkage with the Spring is Attached to the Throttle Pivot (moves when you move the throttle cable) and Governor. The Spring Attaches to the Governor Arm and the Solid Link the Spring is Attached to Connects to the Throttle Pivot on the Plate that Bolts to the Carburetor.
>>The Long Off Set Linkage is Connected to the Throttle Control Valve Plate (aka Throttle Thru Shaft - this opens and closes the Throttle Control Valve) and the Governor Arm.
>>Usually if the Engine has been Operated enough, there will be Wear Marks Showing which Holes to Connect the Linkage to.
>>The Spring Linkage is Attached to the Bottom Hole of the Governor Arm and the Solid Link goes in the Top Hole of the Governor Arm.
>>If you Hit a Snag or this Does Not Correct the Problem,  I Hope to be Here if You Require More Assistance. Hope this Helps. Let me Know What Happens, Please. May the All Mighty Bless You and Yours. Be Safe and Happy. Thanks.

Good Luck
