ANSWER: Hello Timmy:

>>You can View a Breakdown/IPL of the Engine and Mower at this Site Addy, http://jdpc.deere.com/jdpc/servlet/com.deere.u90490.partscatalog.view.servlets.H and Enter the Model Numbers GX345 and Click Find. Then Select your Model from the Search Results Area. Then Select the Sectional File. Then Select the Section of the Mower you Wish to View Online. *You can Drag the View Windows for Better Viewing.*
>>Are you Talking about the Depth Stop Adjustment Knob (#1) that Turns the Depth Stop Cam (#7)?   **See the WHEELS, FRAME AND OPERATORS STATION File, then the  MOWER DECK LIFT LINKAGE Sub File to View these Components.**
>>If Yes, then
>>Use Penetrating Oil and Work the Knob Back and Forth to Loosen the Rust and Free up the Depth Stop Cam.
>>If you Hit a Snag or this Does Not Correct the Problem,  I Hope to be Here if You Require More Assistance. Hope this Helps. Let me Know What Happens, Please. May the All Mighty Bless You and Yours. Be Safe and Happy. Thanks.

QUESTION: John,
Thank you so much for your time.  The knob moves well along w/the cam, it's that the cam is not 'hitting anything' to change the height (i think) [it is really hard to see up in there with the plate covering the cam]  am i correct in thinking that the cam should move the lever in the middle of the 'mid lift'shaft?  I have scanned a copy of the page you recommended, and written on it, basically what i just said.
Thanks again,

Answer
Hello Again Timmye:

>>The Only Time the Cam Engages/Touches Anything (the Mid-Lift Shaft #10) is when the Deck is Lowered.
>>The Cam is Sets so the Mid-Lift Shaft (#10) can Only Lower Until Mid-Lift Shaft Engages/Touches the Cam Lobe.
>>The Depth Stop is Supposed to be Set Only with the Deck in the Raised Position.
>>As Always, If you Hit a Snag or this Does Not Correct the Problem,  I Hope to be Here if You Require More Assistance. Hope this Helps. Let me Know What Happens, Please. May the All Mighty Bless You and Yours. Be Safe and Happy. Thanks.
