Small Engines (Lawn Mowers, etc.): john deere LT155, fly wheel, keyswitch

Question
My mower is not firing.I have changed the key ,coil module and spark plug.Is it possible the magnets are bad in the fly wheel? I think I have checked all switches and wiring with my meter and they are ok .Advice please.

Answer
Looking at the engine on JD's website, It looks like a Kawasaki.
These engines have pretty much the same ignition setup.

I have never came across a flywheel that had bad magnets, or lost their magnetism, but I guess it could be possible.

These coils are designed to fire every revolution, and the only function of the key switch is to ground the ignition when the key is turned to the off position, so unplugging the small wire to the
bottom of the coil will take all other things out of the loop.
With that disconnected, you should have spark when you crank the
engine, if not, you have a bad coil.
The danger when working on these engines, is that if voltage is
somehow sent to the coil, it will destroy it, so if the wrong keyswitch was installed, or wiring is melted together, and voltage
was sent to even a brand new coil, it would be damaged.
So disconnect the kill wire and test it and let me know.  Also find the model numbers of the engine, so I know which engine you have for sure.
