Small Engines (Lawn Mowers, etc.): Kawasaki FC420V mower, hydrostatic transaxle, friction wheel

Question
Mower runs ok on level ground. As soon as you try to go up any incline the unit will not move up the incline. Engine is still running. Seems like a clutch or friction wheel or belt is slipping. Unable to find a diagram of the machine and what may cause this problem. Any thoughts on what may cause? Also where can I find a diagram of the machine and purchase parts if need be.

Thank you, Leo

Answer
Hello Leo:

>>For Better Assistance, Send me the Model Numbers Off the Mower, Please. With these I can Locate the Proper Manual and Better Assist you. The Model Numbers are Usually Located Under the Seat (Ride On Mowers) on a Sticker or Tag on the Body.
>>Is the Ground Drive a Hydrostatic Transaxle?
>>On the Transaxle is an OEM Identification Plate. Send me the Information Off of This Plate, Please. With this Information, I can Locate the Proper Manuals and Better Assist You.
>>Thanks.
