Small Engines (Lawn Mowers, etc.): Kawasaki charging system, 4 stroke engines, ac volts

Question
I have a Ferris mower with a Kawasaki FH660V motor.  I will not charge the battery.  Can there be another problem besides the generator?

Answer
Hello Randy:

>>You can View a Breakdown of this Engine at this Site Addy; http://www.kawpowr.com/ and Select Parts Catalog at the Left of the Page. Now Select 4 Stroke Engines. Now Select your Engine. Now Select the File you wish to View Online.
>>I could Not Locate a Breakdown for the FH660V Engine, but I Did Locate a Breakdown for the FH661V Engine.
>>From your Description it Sounds like the Voltage Regulator may Require Replacing.
>>For Testing the Electrical (Charging) System on Mowers you can Use this Site Addy; http://engines.myfaqcenter.com/Answer.aspx?p_faqid=3438 and Use the Link for AC Volts/DC Amps Meter Setting Chart. This is for Briggs Engines and Works Well for Kohler, Kawasaki, Tecumseh and Other Engine OEMs.
>>If you Hit a Snag or this Does Not Correct the Problem,  I Hope to be Here if You Require More Assistance. Hope this Helps. Let me Know What Happens, Please. May the All Mighty Bless You and Yours. Be Safe and Happy. Thanks.

Good Luck
