Small Engines (Lawn Mowers, etc.): huskee riding mower, twin cylinder engine, vacuum line

Question
I have a briggs%26stratton 18.5 hp twin cylinder engine, model number 42A707 Type 2238-E1 code 0008075B. I am getting fuel to the fuel pump but it is not pumping it into the carburator, i have put a fuel pump kit on it and it still won't pump fuel into the carburator. With the kit came one spring and cap is that right? Do i need to buy a fuel pump body?

Answer
When you say it doesn't pump fuel to the carb-do you mean it wont pump any out of the fuel pump?  Do you have your lines switched?  Its easy to do... make sure the vacuum line is not attached to the fuel outlet port.

What is the part number of the fuel pump kit you purchased?  It should be part number 393397.  Yes it only has one large spring in it and two small springs.

In closing... make sure your lines are connected properly.  I say this because I too have been where you are at!
