Small Engines (Lawn Mowers, etc.): JD S1400, weedeater, air filter

Question
I have this weedeater and its a good one.  While it starts, it floods out when I try to go full throttle.  I have tried letting it warm up and it runs okay until I try to use it and then it cuts in/out on me and dies.  Its like its flooding out or choking out on me.  I cleaned the air filter, sprayed some carb cleaner to no avail.  Thanks!

Answer
check and make sure your muffler screen is clean and not covered with carbon.  I would simply replace the carb on this unit, as the cost and time to repair is not cost effective.

If you really want to repair the carb, then get a carb repair kit, disassemble the carb and clean the carb making sure you spray carb cleaner through all the holes in the carb, especially where the needle and seat are located.

Pay close attention to how the gaskets are located when you disassemble.
