Small Engines (Lawn Mowers, etc.): INTERCHANGING ATTACHMENTS BETWEEN BRANDS, weed wacker, john deere line

I have a s1400 John Deere line trimmer weed wacker etc. I bought three of the attachments edger and rotor tiller. My  john deere finally died. Are there other brands of trimmers that will accept these attachments.  thanks larry
