I changed the oil and air filter on my snapper mower model number:2812X6S and thick smoke is coming out bad i thought i didn't put enough oil in it and i added some more and the smoke came out again. I can see where there might be some oil leaking from around the throttle body(maybe)

Did you stand the mower on end to change the oil?  Did you use SAE 30 weight oil?  What is the engine model, type and code number?  Without checking the engine model and type, I'm guessing your engine should have held about one quart of oil.

Does the oil smell like gasoline?

Send me the engine numbers so I can look up the oil capacity.
