Small Engines (Lawn Mowers, etc.): Honda GVC 160/190, valve cover gasket, breather vent

Question
Hi John.  I'm an owner of a Karcher 2600 pressure washer with the above Honda engine.  There is a cover on this model just below the spark pluck with the letters "OHC" stamped in.  Valve cover Idon't know.  During the past two uses, I've notice engine oil being pushed out of the lower part of the cover.  It is held on with 4 bolts, 1 in each corner.  I removed the bolts to take a peek behind this cover but could not remove it.  Can you please tell me what this is, why am I seeing oil coming out and I'm not thinking this is normal.  Thanks a lot.  JT

Answer
Hello JT:

>>The "OHC" means "Overhead Cam" and "OHV" means Overhead Valves.
>>Since this is a Honda, you can Use this Site Addy; http://www.honda-engines-eu.com/en/welcome.html and Select Spare Parts from the Drop Down Menu of the Service Tab. Now Select "Spare Parts Information.
>>From your Description it Sounds like the Valve Cover Gasket is Leaking and Requires Replacing or the Crankcase Breather/Vent Requires Cleaning/Replacing.
>>If you Hit a Snag or this Does Not Correct the Problem,  I am Here if You Require More Assistance. Hope this Helps. Let me Know What Happens, Please. May the All Mighty Bless You and Yours. Be Safe and Happy. Thanks.

Good Luck
