Small Engines (Lawn Mowers, etc.): brigs and strat generator, center bolt, generator size

Question
i've got a brigs and srtat generator. the generator went out and i'm wanting to replace it. only problem is, i can't seperate the generator from the crank to save my life. the generator is basically dis-assemebled except for the armature, i've tried every trick i know including backing off the long center bolt and tapping with a hammer. this thing just won't budge. any assistance would be greatly appreciated, thanks

Answer
hi bobby

please give me model and type numbers off the engine   and also generator size and output
and generator model

then i should be able to get you something that will do the trick
in the way of extractor rods and bolts

these are on a tapered end shaft on briggs units  and are quite tight
