Small Engines (Lawn Mowers, etc.): Clutch slipping on Troy bilt power head., select shop, troy bilt

Question
Not sure the model number. Think it's a tb21 2cycle Troy bilt tuffy power head. I have it attached to a edger attachment. Today the clutch started slipping. Reving up but not turning blade. Then at idle or after shut down it would work. It's on my lawn trailer. Could the motor be loss or something? If I need a clutch what do they cost?  No job can't buy a new one at this time. It's in very good sharp been baby for a couple years. I've got all the attachments now. Need it working. Is there a site that has a diagram to brake it down? Ty

Answer
Hello Frank:

>>Sorry for the Delay. I had to Perform Upgrades to my PC and it Took a While. The PC had Not been Upgraded in More than a Year and some of the Upgrades Took a While to Download and Install. I also had my PC in Pieces for Internal Cleaning.
>>Go to this Site Addy, http://www.smallenginepartswarehouse.com/ and Select "Shop Online Parts Look Up". Now Select "Parts Look Up". Now Select your OEM and Select the Model Tab. Enter your Model Numbers and Click Search. Now Select your Model and Double Click on it.
>>From your Description it Sounds like a Clutch Problem (Clutch Not being turned by the engine) or a Loose Shaft.
>>Make Sure the Shaft is Slid Completely Into the Power Head.
>>Disassemble the Housing and Inspect the Clutch.
>>The Cost of the Clutch Assy Varies from Region to Region.
>>If you Hit a Snag or this Does Not Correct the Problem,  I am Here if You Require More Assistance. Hope this Helps. Let me Know What Happens, Please. May the All Mighty Bless You and Yours. Be Safe and Happy. Thanks.

Good Luck
