Small Engines (Lawn Mowers, etc.): Lawnmower Transmission, question pool, hondapowerequipment

Question
Where can I get instructions on how to replace the transmission in a Honda 215 lawnmower? Info I read on the Internet paints a negative picture of this task. Is it even worth it?

Answer
Hello Dick:

>>Sorry for the Delay. This Question was Located in the Question Pool and I can Only Answer Questions from the Question Pool when I am Not Answering Questions here or at the Other Site I Answer Questions at.
>>What you do is take off cutting blades, take off 4 bolts that hold motor in place, motor will come off, take off drive belt, remove back wheels ( you will see sprockets that engage wheels). Remove these by taking off snap rings. Remove tension spring on transmission. Transmission should be loose by now. There is a plate on the transmission which you will have to unscrew from it and attach to new one. The rest is simple just install new one and reverse steps.
>>You can View a Breakdown/IPL of the Mower/Engine at this Site Addy, http://www.emerichsalesandservice.com/pages/parts/viewbybrand/16/HondaPowerEquip... Use the OEM Parts Diagrams Look Up by Model or the Quick Parts Look Up Window to Select and View a Breakdown/IPL for this Unit.
>>If you Hit a Snag or this Does Not Correct the Problem,  I am Here if You Require More Assistance. Hope this Helps. Let me Know What Happens, Please. May the All Mighty Bless You and Yours. Be Safe and Happy. Thanks.

Good Luck
