Small Engines (Lawn Mowers, etc.): sears gas leaf blower, gas leaf blower, manifold gaskets

Question
The blower only starts if i spray gas into carb this is a brand new carb.I got a brand new carb figuring this was the problem since i could not find anything else wrong.It is still doing same thing it was before i got the carb.It will stay running if i keep spraying gas into it.Engine family 6PWES.0254BB,disp.25cc,Serial#06241N601290,Model#358.794944

sounds like  the unit has a air leak  from either the inlet manifold or  the barrell base gasket ( these can come loose and suck in air ) manifold gaskets leak  and or c/case seals
this pre - supposes primary compression  is  good and spark is good  

unit needs a air tight c/case in order to operate ( secondary compression )  carb diaphrams
be sure to check for blocked muffler ( no exhaust out , no fuel in )
muffler is part of fuel system in 2 stroke

if does have air leak   and unit not very old might pay to take back to sears
for a replacement or have a local dealer  pressure and vacuum test crankcase  for leaks
without special tools  quite difficult
