Small Engines (Lawn Mowers, etc.): Kawasaki engine reving, kawasaki engine, vtwin

Hi I have a bobcat mower with a 15hp Kawasaki vtwin engine. At the end of the season last year I was changing  the blades on it and had the front of the deck raised. When I was finished I started it and the engine seemed to be racing so I shut it down took the air filter cover off and checked all the carb linkages to make sure nothing was  stuck in. I found nothing everything seemed to look normal. What else do you think it could be. Thanks

Did you by chance damage your gov linkage or the throttle control cable?  Kind of strange that it would work great b4 you raised the deck and then not work after your were done working in it. Its hard to tell without seeing it, but your are on the right track by checking the linkages.
