Small Engines (Lawn Mowers, etc.): Troy Bilt BV320, gas additives, blower vacuum

Question
My blower vacuum won't start. It's been sitting awhile and I put clean gas and oil. I believe it has a spark plug but I don't know where it's at. Any help here would be appreciated.

Thank you,
Crissy

Answer
How long has it been siting?  If old fuel was stored in the unit then you may have to rebuild the carburetor.

I have seen recent adds for gas additives that clain to restore old gas but have not tried these products.

If you do have to rebuild the carb this link contains repair manuals depending on you carburetor series:

You can also try priming the engine with good fuel.  To prime the engine you squirt a small amount of fuel directly into the carburetor and then try to start the engine.  Sometimes this is enough to run the old fuel through the engine an get the engine running again.
