Small Engines (Lawn Mowers, etc.): Ryobi Cultivator starts then dies., carborator, walbro

Question
I have a Ryobi RY60511 2-cycle cultivator which is very hard to start.  Once started the engine will run for up to 5 seconds then begin reving up as if giving it alot of throttle then instantly dies.  I have now taken apart the carborator cleaned and put it back together and still does the same thing over and over. Spark plug still fine and gapped correctly. Gas/Oil mix is 2.6oz to 1Gal as stated in the manual.  Has new fuel, fuel filter, fuel lines and bulb.  Any suggestions appreciated.

Answer
Have you checked the engine compression?  If the compression is less than 90 PSI you will need to rebuild the engine to repair the compression.

Did you replace the carburetor diaphrams?

Walbro, Zama and Tilliston manuals are available online.

Let me know how much engine compression you have.
