Small Engines (Lawn Mowers, etc.): toro snowthrower, question pool, engine model

QUESTION: I have a toro snowthrower model 38602 serial number 230001207.  Engine is 100-9536 7hp.  The snowthrower will not throttle up when engaged in trying to remove snow...seems to slow down with load.  The engine does not rev up...any ideas?

We are a B %26 S shop and the numbers you provided are not B %26 S numbers. I'll have to be very general. It sounds like to me that you have some blockage in the jets and/or ports in the carb. Also check the magneto arms and flywheel magnet for rust and/or trash buildup which could cause a weak spark robbing your engine of power.
