Small Engines (Lawn Mowers, etc.): compress for k321, compression release, leakdown test

how much compression should a kohler k321 engine have (stock)?  

Answer
Do you have your engine spec number?  Kohler's website has manuals you can download.  Compression on small 4 cycle engines is not as accurate as a leakdown test because most have a mechanical compression release at low RPMs.  When the engine starts and RPMs increase the compression release is deactavated.
