Small Engines (Lawn Mowers, etc.): tescumseh carberator adjustment, screw screw, hp 5000

Question
I have a 10 HP 5000 KW portable generator. It will start but runs very erratically. I had a neighbor replace the carburetor float and pin and since then it starts but stalls under load. He said he "unscrewed" all of the carburetor adjusting screws and now i question how to 'reset' them as this may be the problem.

Main Jet and High Spee
There is a screw on the bottom of the carb.  This is your high speed screw.  Screw it all the way in with your fingers.  DO NOT OVERTIGHTEN.

Turn it out 1 turn.

Start your generator

Fine tune as necessary.

The farther you turn it out the more gas that is allowed to flow into the carb.

When your neighbor replaced the float, did he also clean the main jet and the nozzle?  If your carb is not getting fuel these little guys need to be cleaned.

Hope this helps... Drop me an update please...
