QUESTION: Hi David I have a sf1000 digital generator made in china and the inverter went bad. It does not idle down or produce electricity. I understand you can't service the inverter so where can I buy one or is it worth it. Thanks

ANSWER: Please provide me information about the Generator.   Can you email me a photograph of the EPA tag.  That should give me an idea of where it was manufactured  If you are unable to photograph can you please spell out exactly the information that is on the tag.   Ie  Xingue Machinery Group, Yongkong-Zhejiang 400026  this will help tremendously.

QUESTION: It says epa sf1000 on it with no other name. I called the person who sells them and he told me that Powertech made them.

ANSWER: I am sorry, I need more information then this, a digital picture of the gen set, the part, how many watts, etc...Who did you buy it from..they should know where these things are mad and hhow to get you parts?  When I import a product, I always make sure that i have after sale support for them and know where to get parts..  I will keep looking, but please supply me with more information if you can

QUESTION: It is 1000 watts and the manufacturer is FME Yongkang Xingguang Electric Manufacturing Company.

I am not familiar with his supplier, but based on that info you gave me know where they are located..  Briggs and Stratton Power Products has a similar 1000 watt Gen set coming out of china that may have the same inverter on it. Take a look.  Chances are if it looks the same the parts are interchangeable.  Check with a Briggs and Stratton dealer.
