Small Engines (Lawn Mowers, etc.): Honda riding mower, question pool, square bracket

Question
I have an old Honda Riding Lawn mower - model, HT-R3009SA.  I threw a spring and can't seem to locate where it reattaches to.  If I am looking at the underside and looking up, it appears to work the tension pulley.  I still have the spring and I know that one side of the spring attaches to the pulley, but I don't know if the spring should pull the pulley toward the front of the mower, or the back.  I don't see any holes that the spring came out of, but there is one 3/4 square bracket that seems as if it might be the right place.  Any ideas?  I've searched for diagrams (I have the manual, but it's of no help).

Hello Michelle:

>>I am Currently on Vacation and Just had a Few Minutes to Answer a Few Questions.
>>This Question was Located in the Question Pool.
>>You can View a Breakdown/IPL at this Site Addy,
http://www.emerichsales.com/ and Select Honda in the Drop Down Under "Parts Lookup" at the Left of the Page. Now Fill Out the Quick Parts Look Up Section.
>>Is the Spring you need to Hook up the Spring in the Cutter Pulley (HT-3009 Cutter Pulley) File?
>>If Yes, then there is usually a Bracket Welded to the Frame that the Spring Attaches to and this Pulls the Pulley Assembly so the Flat Side of the Belt contacts the Pulleys.
