Small Engines (Lawn Mowers, etc.): John Deere GX95 start problem, john deer, safety switch

My John Deer GX95 with Kowasaki engine was shut off with the blades in gear.  Now it won't restart.  Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Is the blade engagement safety switch stuck in the no start position?  Does the mower click or anything when you turn the key to the start position?

Did you move the blade engagement back and fouth severel times to see if the safety switch is not sticking?
