Question
I have a husqvarna yth1848xp lawn tractor with 18hp kawasaki engine. when I engage blade mower loses power when tractor is in motion. when I push in clutch motor speeds back up.in other words when I have both engaged at same time (blades turning and tractor in motion) my engine dies down but when I disengage ether it speeds back up. I have check all pulleys to be sure they turn freely and I have changed spark plugs, air filter and changed oil and filters and also gas filter. tractor only has 225 hours on it. I dont know what else to do. Do you have any suggestion?

You have a bad carburetor when the load takes over the governor tells the carburetor to speed up and handle the load, tru the high speed portal. The problem may be a dirty carb.

With engine off, and blade drive disengaged, reach under mower deck and see if blades turn freely, if not one off the drive pulley bearing could be bad.
If you think its a carburetor problem, get a can of gas additive from auto parts store call Sea Foam. Mix about a ounce per gallon of gas in tank. The gas they sell at stations now has ethanol mix in it. Ethanol evaporates much faster than gas without it, leaving gunky residue behind. Sea Foam will clean it out.
Also make sure your drive belt is routed correctly.
